CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.    CONTEST PERIOD:  Starting on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10 am and ending on Friday, February 14th, 2025, at 8 pm at Eastern Daylight Time (the “Contest Period”).  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY OPTION AVAILABLE. 

2.    ELIGIBILITY:  To enter and be eligible to participate in the promotion, a person must be a resident of Ontario and be the age of majority in Peterborough, Ontario. The Sponsors of this Contest is Lansdowne Place, The Keg Steakhouse & Bar (PTBO location) and Twain Gold & Diamond Centre (the “Sponsors”). The following persons are NOT eligible to participate in this Contest: a) a director, officer, manager, employee, or agent of the Sponsors, Primaris Management Inc., or any of the tenants or other occupants of Lansdowne Place (the “Shopping Centre”) or their employees, affiliated companies, franchisees, service agencies or independent contractors of the Sponsor; b) individuals engaged in the development, production or distribution of materials for the Contest and c) any person domiciled with any of the above.

3.    HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Starting Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 10 am, until Friday, February 14th, 2025 at 8 pm, make a purchase of any value at a Lansdowne Place store, service, restaurant/food court and register receipt(s) at Guest Services to receive one (1) ballot, or register a receipt from one of our sponsors (The Keg PTBO, Twain Gold & Diamond Centre, or Lansdowne Place Gift Card, and receive 3 ballots per receipt. Receipt(s) must be dated for the same day they are registered, and only for the contest period. Sponsors are not responsible for lost or damaged ballots.

4.    NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:  Customers can submit to Guest Services a 500-word original essay on where they like to shop at Lansdowne Place, and why they would like to win the contest (1 essay = 1 ballot).  Entries mechanically reproduced or made in any other fashion other than the original entry form, or a hand-drawn facsimile are void.  The Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, postage due, damaged, illegible, or incomplete entries or any printing errors in these Rules.  Purchase does not enhance a person’s chance of winning.

5.    PRIZE DESCRIPTIONS:  One (1) 14K White Gold Chain & 0.48 carat Diamond Pendant, valued at $500.  One (1) $200 Gift Card from The Keg Steakhouse PTBO. One (1) $200 Lansdowne Place Gift Card.  One prize per winner. Three (3) winners in total. Prize must be accepted as awarded.  No refunds or exchanges. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6.    HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE:  Starting Monday, February 17th, 2025, at approximately 12 PM Eastern Daylight Time, an independent Primaris representative “judge” will randomly select the winning ballots from all eligible entries received. Judges will attempt to contact the potential winners, between 12 PM and 5 PM each day, Eastern Daylight Time, immediately following each daily draw. If the Judges are not able to make contact and speak directly with the selected entrant within the allotted time, then at the sole and absolute discretion of the Judges, that entrant may be disqualified, his/her entitlement to receive a prize may be forfeited, and an alternate eligible entrant may be randomly selected from remaining eligible entries. Potential winners must present original receipt(s) to Guest Services and correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, a skill-testing-time limited mathematical question. Prizes are not transferable, and must be accepted as awarded, with no substitution of any kind, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.  

7.    Entrants (i) acknowledge compliance with these Contest Rules and Regulations including all eligibility requirements and, (ii) agree to be bound the decisions of the Judge, made in their sole discretion, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this contest.  Entrants who have not complied with these Contest Rules and Regulations are subject to disqualification.

8.    If a potential winner is found to be ineligible or, declines to accept a prize, the prize will be forfeited. The potential winner may be required to furnish proof of identification that may include a driver’s license. Before being declared a winner, the eligible winner may be required to sign a declaration and complete a Release and Waiver form confirming understanding, acceptance and compliance with these Contest Rules and Regulations, acceptance of the prize as offered and a release acknowledging the non-responsibility of the Sponsor in respect of injuries, accidents, damages, costs, expenses or losses related to the conduct of the Contest, awarding of the prize and use and enjoyment of the awarded prize. By accepting or participating in a prize, winners’ consent to the use of their names, addresses, voices, statements relating to the Contest or the Sponsor, and photographs or other likenesses, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by the Sponsor and any related entities in connection with this Contest, except where prohibited by law.

9.    Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of law and, should any attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution. 

10.    The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, in the event of fraud, technical or other difficulties or if the integrity of the Contest is compromised, without liability to the entrant. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or winner, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.  This Contest is subject to these Contest Rules and Regulations and all applicable federal, provincial, local, and other laws. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. These Contest Rules and Regulations are governed by the laws having application in the province where the Shopping Centre is located. Any action or proceeding arising out of, or in connection with, this Contest or these Contest Rules and Regulations must be brought in the Court of the Province where the Shopping Centre is located. 

11.    Personal information collected from entrants will be used by the Sponsor for the purposes of administering this Contest. Refer to the Sponsor’s privacy policy at lansdowneplace.com, or from Guest Services, to see how it uses personal information obtained in connection with this Contest.
